With the exception of orders shipping to the UK, the cost of shipping is paid at the time of ordering, however the import fees – including duties, VATs and brokerage fees – are NOT included in this cost. The customer is responsible for paying the import fees directly to the carrier at or near the time of delivery.
Please note that these fees are assessed by Customs in the destination country and the carrier (DHL or FedEx). Twelve South has no part in the determination of these costs and has no control over them, nor can we provide an estimate for how much they will be.
If the customer refuses to pay the import fees and arranges for the shipment to be returned to us, the cost of the return shipping and any import fees we are forced to pay on the customer’s behalf will be deducted from the refund. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
It is Twelve South policy to abandon packages shipping outside of the U.S. that are refused by the customer. In this case, no refund will be possible.
