Probably not. BookArc is made to fit the 'naked' MacBooks like a glove, so a shell will make the MacBook too thick to fit the intended insert.
However, if you might be able to use the insert for one of the thicker MacBooks, depending on how thick your shell is.
- Insert B can accommodate a thickness of 0.71-inch (17.3 mm)
- Insert C can accommodate a thickness of 0.52-inch (13.2 mm)
- Insert D can accommodate a thickness of 0.61-inch (15.6 mm)
- Insert E can accommodate a thickness of 0.61-inch (15.6 mm)
- Insert F can accommodate a thickness of 0.64-inch (16.2 mm)
- Insert G can accommodate a thickness of 0.66-inch (16.8 mm)
- Insert H can accommodate a thickness of 0.61-inch (15.6 mm)
PLEASE NOTE: If a larger insert is used with your MacBook in a shell, it is possible that, depending on the thickness and edge-shape of the shell, it may lean in the BookArc, or it may be difficult to remove from BookArc with one hand, or the insert may be dislodged when the MacBook is put in or removed.
